A Day To Celebrate...

I have two great reasons to celebrate today...

Firstly.... I'm celebrating the fact that my cake turned out to be a brilliant masterpiece!

I've dubbed it the 6 layered pink & purple dream cake.... I really want to come up with something nicer!  Any suggestions?

I have the very talented Dewi from Sweet Bloom Cakes to thank for the inspiration.  Be sure to pop over and visit her facebook page.  Her cakes are a magnificently gorgeous!!!
I found her Sweet Strawberry Velvet Cake via Pinterest and after tracing back though the links, found out that Sweet Bloom Cakes is an Australian company, based in Sydney.

I can't just leave you with one pic....
Can you tell how impressed I am with myself? LOL

So be sure to click on the link above and feast your eyes on Dewi's fantastic cakes... you may find something to inspire you... or better yet, if you're local to Sydney, you could order one for your next celebration!

Soon I'll be showing you how I made my cake... so stick around!

Secondly.....  My precious sweetheart Emily had her 11th Birthday today!!

Happy Birthday to you,
You live in a zoo,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear Emily,
Happy Birthday to ...............
You!!!

Trying to blow out sparklers is HARD work!
